UNC-30 (e165) Color Code Reconstructed in August 1988
Reviewed
by DHH; July 2010
This
animal was probably studied by John White. It presents a thin section series of
the anterior portion of the dorsal and ventral cords of an adult animal. Other studies have demonstrated that GABA
expression is reduced or absent in class D motoneurons in this mutant.
Please
note in this animal that some class D axons appear have one or more extra
branches within one of the nerve cords (indicated below by a * or ** on the
chart); sometimes several branches are involved in synapses, but in other cases
only one branch is involved in synapses.
Color
codes are taken from a page in MRC green notebook #3. Different codes were used for the two nerve
cords.
